During the week I share the latest marketplace lending news on Twitter as it happens. Then every Saturday I take the most interesting news items and blog posts from the past week and share them here. The Lend Academy team was in London this past week attending LendIt Europe 2016 so a lot of news this week is focused on what came out of that event.

Funding Circle CEO: “There’s no such thing as a hybrid lender” from AltFi News – Commentary on Samir Desai’s keynote at LendIt Europe this past week.

The ex-finance watchdog who trashed peer-to-peer lending now says it could ‘make credit crunches less likely’ from Business Insider – Former top regulator Lord Turner clarified his position on P2P lending while speaking at LendIt Europe.
