PayPal participated in Tink’s $90 million funding round which was announced back in January; to go along with the investment, Tink’s open banking and account aggregation tech will be offered in European Economic Area countries through PayPal’s platform; the actual investment amount of wasn’t shared and PayPal’s participation was not previously known; as of March Tink reported that they have been relatively unscathed by the coronavirus and previously shared ambitions to broaden their offering to other geographies; Tink also recently partnered with BNP Paribas as well as the Nordic bank Nordea.
