Leading peer to peer and online lending conference

On June 20th of this year we held the first LendIt Conference in New York City. This was the first time that the many leaders and enthusiasts in the peer to peer and online lending industry had gathered together in one place.

We had over 350 people in a conference center in New York City and over 1,000 people tuned in to the live broadcast that was streamed online throughout the day. The LendIt YouTube channel, where all the videos are available, has received thousands of views in the past six months.

I am one of the co-founders of LendIt and I am happy to announce that LendIt 2014 is now open for registration. We have expanded to a two-day conference and we have switched to the west coast; LendIt 2014 will be held at the Hilton Hotel Union Square in San Francisco from May 4-6 next year. As interest in the space has snowballed this year we expect to see more than double the number of people at LendIt 2014 compared to LendIt 2013.

We have a tentative agenda in place and will be confirming the speaker lineup over the coming weeks. Suffice it to say that so far we have received strong interest from all the major players in the industry.

Lend Academy Readers Get a 25% Discount

The early bird cost for the event is $495. And just like last time Lend Academy readers get a special discount. Enter the promotion code LENDACADEMYVIP at checkout and you will receive a 25% discount. The early bird pricing will be in place until January 15th. After that the price will go to $795. The price will continue to go up as we get closer to the event.

Like last year we intend to broadcast the LendIt Conference live online for free. We will also be recording the main sessions and will make those available on our YouTube channel after the event.

Also like last year we intend to have two tracks – a primary track in the main ballroom and a secondary track featuring workshops and company presentations that will appeal to a more narrow audience. The secondary track will not be broadcast or recorded.

We are kicking off the event with a cocktail party on the Sunday night, May 4th. The Hilton Hotel has a great venue on the 46th floor of their building called Cityscape. There are amazing views of the city from the Golden Gate Bridge all the way to the Bay Bridge. This event has an additional cost of $95.

To find out more details about the event go to our LendIt 2014 site. Hope to see you in San Francisco in May.
