A new survey by Fidelity found 36 percent of U.S. and European institutional investors own crypto assets with Bitcoin being most popular; Fidelity surveyed 774 institutional investors including pension funds, family offices, financial advisers, and hedge funds; 27 percent of U.S. investors hold crypto assets, up from 22 percent last year; 45 percent of European investors hold crypto assets; “These results confirm a trend we are seeing in the market towards greater interest in and acceptance of digital assets as a new investable asset class,” Tom Jessop, President of Fidelity Digital Assets, said in a statement according to Business Insider. “This is evident in the evolving composition of our client pipeline, which spans from crypto native funds to pensions.”; the biggest reasons for firms still not investing are volatility and market manipulation.
