Klarna is well known for their buy now, pay later offering and is now launching a customer loyalty program called Vibe; they will be the first in the point of sale space to offer a rewards program; it is slated to be launch this month in the US and other markets will be added in the next year; those participating will earn one “Vibe” point for every $1 they spend; the rewards can then in turn be redeemed for gift cards; interestingly, Vibes are only earned once payments are completed and paid on time to encourage responsible spending; Klarna reports that their app in the US has been downloaded 4.4 million times this year.
