Mercantile Bank of Michigan has struck a partnership with Abe AI to build a chatbot; MercMoney is an AI based chatbot that customers can interact with on Facebook Messenger, Google Home and SMS; the bank believes conversational banking can help customers to better understand their financial health; implementation of the chatbot was much more affordable for the bank compared to a mobile banking overhaul.
