JPMorgan Sets Requirements on Data Access for Fintechs

In the past some fintech companies and financial aggregators have accessed JP Morgan customer data by using user’s passwords; JP Morgan is now moving away from this, requiring companies to move to a new method by July 20, 2020; the new access method is through an API which is more secure and will provide limited account information to third party provider partners; the bank has been working with fintechs since 2016 to provide data access.
