LendingClub Shares Improvements in Cybersecurity

LendingClub is beefing up their security practices, adding a layer of security to product its data and applications; they are leveraging software from Accurics which helps to secure code managing IT infrastructure; Paolo Montini, chief data officer and head of cyber risk management at LendingClub stated, “In financial services, compliance and cybersecurity are always the biggest risks we have…We are always looking for ways and solutions to get ahead as much as possible in making sure that we manage them.” LendingClub is subject both to strict requirements from California’s data privacy rules as well as New York’s cybersecurity law; Accurics just came out of stealth mode, launching this week; they have received $5 million in funding; American Banker digs into the offering from Accurics in more detail.
