Attending conferences is one of the best ways to further your career, form connections, and generate new business. We’re not bias at all.. It’s true! The inaugural Lang Di Fintech conference is 10 days away and our team is ready to make connections happen!

Lang Di Fintech will bring together one thousand members of the online lending community. The conference will highlight:

  • companies and technologies driving change in financial services around the world
  • showcase innovations in areas including lending, payments, blockchain, insurance, and wealth management
  • provide the opportunity to meet key decision makers to discuss the latest Internet finance trends.

There will be keynotes, tracks, workshops, company demos, a huge expo hall, and multiple networking events and parties to attend.

Here are six tips to have a successful Lang Di Fintech conference:

  1. Common websites/apps like Gmail and social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are not accessible in China. It’s recommended that you subscribe to a VPN service, like ExpressVPN.
  2. Messaging services (iMessage, WhatsApp) may be spotty. The main way to communicate with the LendIt team and other attendees will be via WeChat. Download the app and set up your profile prior to departing for Hong Kong.
  3. Set goals for what you would like to learn from the conference. Is it forming a someone connection from a particular company? Growing your network in a new country? Learning from industry leaders?
  4. Set up your out-of-office reply. We know that you won’t not check your email, but let people know that you’re at a conference.
  5. Bring your cell phone and laptop charger with a China charger converter. This is a given, but people tend to forget them by accident!
  6. Pack enough business cards with the goal in mind to talk to everyone attending. Who knows, your next business partner may be right next to you. *Extra tip: take notes on the business card with what you discussed
