Baltics Now Leading in EU Peer to Peer Market, Led by Mintos

Martins Sulte founded Mintos in 2015, a platform which is leading the way in the EU; they focus largely on the Baltics which is now the largest p2p market in the EU with the removal of the leaders in the UK; Lithuania specifically has been very friendly from a regulatory perspective but all of the Baltic countries are well suited for fintechs; many of those who lend on Mintos are located in western Europe and one thing that entices investors is the potential for higher returns; there are however some concerns with Estonia opening fraud probes into two other crowdfunding websites and they are now looking to license firms.
