In their recent annual results Funding Circle announced they will be opening up in Canada later this year; today the peer to peer lending market in Canada has been dominated by Lending Loop in the small business lending space; there will be many challenges for Funding Circle with one of the major hurdles being on the regulatory front as other companies have taken years to be granted a license; but Funding Circle is already working with regulators, they have a strong brand and deep expertise in launching in international markets.
