Four Companies Cooperate for Cyber Security Standards

Citi, Zurich Insurance, Kabbage and DTCC are working to develop the new standards for tech companies; while large institutions have invested significantly in preventing cyber attacks, there are risks with partnering with fintechs who may not have as robust as systems in place; these backdoor attacks pose a significant risk to financial institutions; Michael Bodson, president and chief executive of DTCC stated, “We all live and die by each other; the weakest link in the chain is the highest point of vulnerability”. Fox Fintech Group Gets First Internet Micro-Credit License from Ningbo City Government

Fox Fintech, an affiliate of Sohu.com, was able to obtain the first micro-credit license by the Ningbo City Government in China; Alex Ho, Fox Fintech Group's founder and CEO, commented, "We are applying advanced technologies in big data, facial recognition, machine learning and self-developed algorithms to bring efficient, convenient and inclusive credit service to China."; the internet micro-credit license allows for Fox Fintech to lend across the country, traditional micro-credit licenses are limited to the city where they are approved. Fraud Protection Among Payments Companies

According to TechCrunch, scammers are using Zelle to take advantage of customers; a seller of a product who is attempting to defraud customers will ask a customer to pay using Zelle instead of PayPal; many users are not aware that Zelle does not provide some of the same buyer protections that PayPal has been known for; Zelle is more similar to Venmo for transferring money to those you trust.
