During the week I share the latest p2p lending news on Twitter as it happens. Then every Saturday I take the most interesting news items and blog posts from the past week and share them here.

Is lending to strangers smart investing? from St. Louis Post-Dispatch – Good intro piece on p2p lending from a regional newspaper.

Peer-to-peer lending platforms look to rival traditional banks from Financial Times (registration required) – Even though FT is a UK newspaper this article is from their US-based journalist. Several interesting tidbits including the announcement that Morgan Stanley is looking to start a fund to invest in Lending Club notes.
