The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance has become the leading institution globally focused on studying the alternative finance industry and their reports have become a must read for everyone interested in fintech; they have just released their fourth annual European Alternative Finance Report they are calling Shifting Paradigms; the European alternative finance market grew to over €10 billion in 2017 dominated by the UK with 73% of the market; the largest segment was P2P consumer lending with almost €1.4 billion; Europe is growing much faster than the US albeit off of a smaller base.
