Jesse McWaters leads Disruptive Innovation in Financial Services research project for the World Economic Forum; McWaters believes many fintechs will fail, similar to what we saw in the early 2000s with internet companies; he still believes the future is bright for a select few companies, but it is hard to know which ones will be long lasting; he also discussed the evolution of the industry since 2013, a time when many companies set out to disrupt the incumbents.
