According to Techcrunch a new fintech unicorn is about to be crowned; digital payments leader Marqeta is looking to raise $250 million at a valuation of $1.875 billion; their previous round in 2017 they were valued at $545 million; their customers include fintech leaders like Square, Kabbage, Klarna and Affirm; they have also recently entered the European market; in addition to powering cards for others Marqeta’s products include virtual cards, payment reconciliations, real-time fund transfers and more.
