What fintech will look like in 2030

Sometimes a simple Twitter callout can ignite a brainstorm worthy of re-sharing.

Back in June, Plaid CEO Zachary Perret asked simply, “What do you think financial services will be like in 2030?”

What do you think financial services will be like in 2030?

One theme among the replies was the idea that a smart actor will create a one-stop shop consolidated website of defi and other fintech options.

Colin Overweg said he was surprised that no one has thought to build a financial hub website.

Great article.
Pretty amazing that nobody has created a great financial hub to see all your finances.
Even financial planning software is clunky.

Speaking of simplicity, Anurag Baveja said automated diligence will allow an almost-instant transaction state.

say i need a $100,000 loan

All i need to do is tap a button on the Plaid app

the nexus of APIs and the Ecosystem will do the verification, diligence automagically and put the Sum in my Bank account – in the next 60 Minutes –

Josh Ryan brought a glass-half-full vision to the question by suggesting a future of borderless cashflows.

Loans will increasingly be based on cash flow data, repayment automation, and where you work.

Real-time biometric payments will route more directly between buyer and seller wallets.

Borders will hopefully be far less of a barrier to access than they are today.
