With most workers now at home banks and other financial services companies have struggle with how best to monitor production from employees; some have installed software to monitor computer usage and some have asked employees to keep webcams on all day; as some restrictions start to ease the companies need to think how to monitor employees without crossing the line; employers should be upfront with employees about policies so employees can understand that messages being sent on a work device can be reviewed; according to Gartner 16 percent of companies have purchased software to monitor use of computers and applications; “In the financial services space, as their employees have gone remote, companies have been pretty aggressive at buying that sort of technology,” Brian Kropp, VP of Research at Gartner, said to American Banker.
