The new industry association called Digital Finance Forum was founded by Christian Faes and Ian Thomas; it aims to bring together folks across fintech industry along with regulators and governments to improve collaboration; Faes noted the idea started back in 2016 through informal meetings, but now has corporate sponsors and plans to roll out events in the coming months; he stated, “The Digital Finance Forum creates an informal, intimate space away from the conference circuit and other formal organizations that seek to represent the fintech sector – allowing for real conversations between those that are at the coalface of building it.” Source
