Afterpay Partners with Marqeta to Expand U.S. Presence

Afterpay has teamed up with payments fintech Marqeta to help the buy now, pay later firm expand their presence and product set in the U.S.; “Marqeta is thrilled to be partnering with Afterpay in the United States, and we also look forward to working together on additional markets using Marqeta’s global platform capabilities,” said Marqeta Chief Revenue Officer Omri Dahan to PYMNTS.com; Afterpay allows merchants to give customers a chance to finance a purchase in a handful of payments for no fee; Afterpay Chief Payments Officer Kareem Al-Bassam explained the deal to PYMNTS.com, “This new partnership with Marqeta provides us with a platform that will help us scale our U.S. business.” PYMNTS
